Secretlab Titan Evo (2022)

The gaming-chair brand most ergonomics communities reluctantly admit is actually good. Three sizes (Small / Regular / XL), 4-way lumbar that does not push too aggressively, and CloudCool fabric that does not trap heat. $549-$799.

Quick Answer

Is the Secretlab Titan Evo (2022) worth buying in 2026?

If you want a highly customizable, durable racing-style chair with excellent lumbar support and neat magnetic accessories, this is the best in its class. However, if you prioritize silent operation or advanced ergonomic features like synchro-tilt found in dedicated office chairs,

  • Innovative magnetic ecosystem for the head pillow and swappable armrest tops
  • Highly adjustable 4-way integrated lumbar support (height and depth)
  • Flatter, softer seat base that avoids the restrictive hard metal bolsters of traditional racing chairs
  • Straightforward assembly process with clear instructions and high-quality included tools

Cons

  • Persistent creaking and noise issues from the lumbar, side plastics, and piston
  • Uses a basic knee-tilt mechanism rather than an advanced synchro-tilt found in ergonomic office chairs
  • Heavy and bulky, making it difficult to move or assemble alone
  • Getting the full 5-year warranty requires posting a picture of the chair on social media

After 6+ Months

Owned a Regular Titan Evo for 18 months as my secondary chair. The integrated lumbar is the standout — it is a knob, not a pump, which means it actually holds its position over time. Heat retention is fine on the SoftWeave Plus fabric (avoid the Leatherette in warm rooms).

Why this chair

The Titan Evo is the only gaming-style chair I'd put on a "good ergonomics" list. Reasons:

  • Three sizes (most gaming chairs come in one)
  • Integrated lumbar that doesn't deflate (it's a knob, not an inflatable pump)
  • Magnetic memory-foam armrest tops that you can remove without breaking anything

When to skip

If you sit 8+ hours/day and your back is your single bottleneck: get a Steelcase Leap V2 refurb instead. The Titan Evo is comfortable but doesn't have the spine-adapt mechanism.
